The Max Planck Society has invited Prof. Dr. Michael Backes, CISPA Director and Fellow of the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems, to participate in a panel with Prof. Dr. Gerd Leuchs, Director of the Max Planck Instiute for the Science of Light.
The panel is focussing on the future possibilities for a safer internet through research done by quantum physicists about new encryption techniques based on photonics research.
Michael Backes and Gerd Leuchs will, for example, talk about how quantum cryptography works and if it will create a competition between computer science and quantum physics.
